Stella Geppert’s performance RE: EMPATHY THE NATURE kicks off the exhibition TOWER BREATH BODY MEMBRANE, which she dedicates to the five most important human organs – kidney, stomach, liver, heart and lungs. Each organ is assigned to a floor in the tower in vertical proportion to the body. For the first time, the artist works with embodied sounds that she initiates to stimulate the organs. These sounds form a composition, creating associations with other species and the sound fields of landscapes. Using a variety of organ-related breathing techniques, Stella Geppert initiates communication between the inner organs and the architecture of the water tower, multiplying her body tension into the space.
